Staff will monitor and interact with the children throughout the day. They will also model appropriate and safe ways to play with peers and the pre-school resources provided.

There is Toddle Tussday every week, where we will walk and explore Shrewton.

Mornings at Shrewton Pre-school

9:00 am

We open the doors to let the children in.

The children will have the option of free flow play. Every morning the children can choose to go straight to the outdoor garden or play indoors. The only exception will be weather dependent due to health and safety reasons.

When entering the classroom they will self-register and go into free play.

10:15 am

Register time!

Free Flow Play

During free flow play children will be able to choose from a wide variety of toys and resources provided. Children will have a choice of adult and child lead play. There will be opportunities for small group play/activities and free play.

10:30 am

It's snack time! Pre-school provides snack for all children. A menu will be set and updated every week and will be placed on the notice board outside the setting for the parents to view.

11:50 am

Story time before lunch.

12:00 am

It's lunch time! The children will have 45 minutes for lunch. (No hot meals are provided. Lunch boxes only).

1:00pm

It's home time or children will stay for the afternoon session.

When the children are waiting to go home a member of staff will read a story or sing songs before they go home.
